As with our tonics, Erasmus Bond Dry Ginger was developed with the perfect mixer in mind. This time it was all about finding the balance between sweetness, freshness and of course spice. Erasmus Bond Dry Ginger is the preferred companion when making ginger based mixed drinks, whether it’s with rum, bourbon, cognac, tequila or even whisky.
The nose offers the traditional freshness thanks to the use of ginger and citrus fruits. On the palate the freshness is joined by a lovely silky mouthfeel. Towards the end the spicy character starts to emerge and offers a long and slightly peppery finish. With less sugar than most of the other ginger mixers, it allows the spirit to shine and leaves room for any personal preferences the consumer may have. We hope you like it as much as we do.
Nose: Spicy ginger, demerara sugar, slight hint of lime zest in the background.
Mouth: Warming spices reminding of black cubebe pepper and cinnamon, freshly cut ginger and some citric acidity balanced with the right amount of sweetness lingering in the background.
Aftertaste: Candied ginger, fresh lemon and a pleasing slight tangy finish.
